My Story

I am Micole a licensed professional in Washington DC and North Carolina. My love for hair started while I was in high school.   I have always loved to braid and cornrow hair, out of that grew my passion for natural hair styling and locs.  I received my cosmetology certificate from Dudley Beauty College in 2008.  While in school I created my own business Passion for Hair where I worked alone for one year. After graduating I worked in a number of different salon settings. My experience in the salon was wonderful and I grew as a stylist, but I have always known that I wanted my own legacy in the Natural Hair Industry.  Micole Tonyae is the result of this.

My Passion

Working with women over the years I realized that so many of them are very unhappy with their hair texture and their natural beauty this fueled my passion for creating an atmosphere to encourage natural beauty.  Along with that I created product to complement that, Elocim by Micole Tonyae  was established February 2015.  I created Elocim to start a movement to help women to accept their Authentic self.  There are no products in the line that alters your natural curl pattern, just moisturizes and strengthens.  I am a true believer in knowing your hair and skin authentically.  Though my passion seems woman driven I work with many men and help them with their hair journey also.  

 

I am in a position to EMPOWERMENT, provide KNOWLEDGE and offer SERVICE to better my people.


It is an honor to work with so many great people and a pleasure to do exactly what I’m called to do.  My first priority is to build great relationships with my clients and help them with their journey to accepting their Authentic self and maintaining healthy and vibrant hair.  I work with my clients to come up with routines that fit their personality and lifestyle.

My Purpose

Indulge was created Dec 4, 2005 it was a space to read good books and cultivate relationships for 16 years. It was inactive for 2 years (2021-2023). God gave me a new revelation and on February 5, 2023 I reactivated the book club.  The new purpose is to rightly divide the work of God, cultivate Godly relationships and bring people to Christ.
